Tata Steel

Our office is located at 629 Bara Flat in the Agrico area of Jamshedpur. Agrico is a well-known part of town, very closely tied to the history of the steel works. Working out of a flat gives the whole thing a very domestic, down-to-earth feeling. It’s not a cold, sterile office building. We have a kitchen where someone is usually brewing something, and the rooms have been converted into workspaces with desks and shelves. It’s a bit of a tight fit sometimes when we have a lot of documents to go through, but we manage. The 831009 area is pretty central for us. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day—traffic, people talking, and the general hum of Jamshedpur. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly just some old maps and a calendar. It’s a place for work, not for show. The staff here have been around for a while, and we just get on with things without much fuss. We don't use a lot of corporate jargon. If something is broken, we fix it. If a job needs doing, we do it. It’s a simple way of operating that fits the Agrico vibe. It’s just a regular flat where some of the Tata Steel business gets handled every day. It’s comfortable and practical for a small local team like ours. We just show up and do what we can every morning.
