Down here at 677 Bara Flat in the Sidhgora area, life stays pretty steady for us. We are located right near the Agrico post office, which makes it easy for us to handle all the mail and documents that come through for Tata Steel Ltd. This place is not a showroom or a big headquarters. It is just a flat that we have turned into a functional workspace to manage the local logistics in Jamshedpur. The Bara Flats have that old-school feel that many people around here grew up with. Our office inside is fairly basic with simple desks and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend most of our hours looking at schedules and talking to the different departments. It gets a bit dusty because of all the activity in the neighborhood, so we are constantly wiping down our monitors. Usually, around four in the afternoon, someone brings in some snacks from the market near the Agrico gate, and we take a short break together. There is no corporate ladder to climb in this small room. We are just a handful of staff members who have worked together for a long time. We like being in a residential area because it feels more like a real community than a cold office park. People around here know we are the ones working out of number 677, and we like keeping things simple and direct.
