Our place is at 191, Burma Road, right in the middle of the Burma Mines area. If you have been around Jamshedpur for any length of time, you already know that this part of town is all about the steel industry. It is loud, it is industrial, and it has been that way for many decades. We are just one part of that big history here. The yard at this location is always moving. We have trucks coming in with raw materials and others leaving with finished goods all day long. It takes a lot of coordination to keep it all straight. We deal with the heavy stuff here. It is not like a small retail shop where you just walk in and browse through shelves. It is a serious operation with a lot of moving parts. The workers here have been doing this for years, and some of them even followed their fathers into the plant. There is a lot of pride in the work, even if the walls are a bit stained and the floor is always covered in some kind of grit. We follow the safety rules, keep the big machines running, and make sure the steel goes out to where it belongs. The heat from the industrial processes is something you never really get used to, but you learn how to work with it after a while. It is a massive site, and it can be a bit intimidating if you are not from around here. We just focus on our own section and keep the output steady every single shift.
