Sokhi Engineering Co. (P) Ltd. is located right at Plot No- Ns-1 in Phase 1 of the Adityapur Industrial Area. If you spend any time in Adityapur, you know it’s a place where things are constantly being built and moved. Our plot is pretty standard for the area. We have a large shed where the main engineering work happens and a small section for the office tasks. There is usually a smell of oil and metal in the air, which is just part of the job. We have machines that have been with us for years, and they still do the work just fine. The floor is always a bit greasy, no matter how much we sweep it. We don't go in for fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Our benches are made of heavy wood and the chairs are just whatever was available. We focus on the metalwork and the mechanical parts that need fixing or making. The crew knows exactly what they are doing, and they don't need much supervision. We have tea breaks in the shade when it gets too hot in the afternoon. It’s a practical way of living. We’ve seen other businesses come and go in this industrial zone, but we’ve stayed put at Ns-1. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know best.
