Expertserve

Up here in Lawsohtun, the weather changes so fast you can barely keep track. Expertserve is based right in Block II and it is a pretty quiet part of Shillong compared to Police Bazar. Most of our days are spent at the desks just getting through the work that comes in. It gets very foggy sometimes and the clouds come right down into the street, which makes everything feel a bit slow. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know the path up the hill like the back of our hands. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived in Lawsohtun for generations. Sometimes the internet acts up when there is a big storm, which happens a lot in Meghalaya, so we just wait it out. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls, it is more like a regular house converted for work. Everyone brings their own lunch and we sit together in the small kitchen area when we have a break. You can hear the birds and the wind through the trees most of the afternoon. It is a good place to be if you like a bit of peace while you work. We mostly just focus on finishing our tasks and heading home before it gets too dark or the rain starts again.
