A P Social Welfare Residential Schools is located in Jaggampeta, out in the East Godavari area. This place is both a school and a junior college for girls. Being a residential school, it’s basically a second home for the students who stay here. The environment in East Godavari is usually quite green, which is nice, but the humidity can be a real pain during the rainy season. The school building itself is a solid structure, though it has its share of cracks and leaks when the weather gets bad. We have a routine that starts early with morning exercises. The girls spend their time between the classrooms and the hostel rooms. There’s a lot of chatter in the hallways during the shift between classes. It’s a simple setup with no unnecessary luxuries. We have a small library that the girls use for their college prep. The food is standard hostel fare, nothing special, but it keeps everyone going. Sometimes we have issues with the fans or the lights, and we just fix them as we go. It’s a practical environment for learning. The teachers live nearby and keep an eye on things. It’s not a polished place, but it works for what it is. Most days are just about following the timetable and making sure the students are where they need to be.
