Zaika Bazaar

We’ve been here in Anand Vihar 6 for a while now. Most days start early, before the sun is even fully up, just getting things ready. It’s not a big fancy place, just Zaika Bazaar. We spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and making sure things aren't just sitting there gathering dust. You see the same faces every day, people from the neighborhood stopping by for one thing or another. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded and the floor gets some dirt on it, but we try to sweep it when there’s a quiet moment. It’s just how things go when you run a local spot. The shelves have a mix of everything people usually ask for. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything. Most folks just know we are here at number 6. There is always a lot of noise from the street outside, which is just part of being in this area. We have some old fans that hum a bit too loud in the summer, but they keep the air moving. Dealing with deliveries can be a headache when the trucks can't find a place to park. We just manage it one day at a time. It’s mostly about making sure the inventory is right and the lights stay on. It isn't a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up the shutters at night. Sometimes the neighbors stop in just to complain about the heat, and we just nod and keep working.
