Our place is at 205, V4 Mayur Plaza-II in the local shopping center of Mayur Vihar Phase-1. It is a typical Delhi office building. You take the stairs or the lift up to the second floor and find us at the end of the hall. We have a lot of technical drawings laying around on the tables. Engineering is mostly about solving problems that people do not see. We spend hours looking at measurements and checking specs for industrial parts. It is not the kind of job that looks good in a movie. It is mostly dusty boots and calculators. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, but the machine is a bit temperamental lately. The light in the office flickers sometimes when the AC is running full blast in the heat. We do not have a big marketing team telling us what to say to people. We just talk to our clients about what they need and try to get the drawings right the first time. The plaza can be quite noisy in the evenings when everyone is out shopping or eating. We usually stay late to finish up reports. Our desks are cluttered with samples and old pens. It is a simple operation. We focus on the work at hand and do not worry too much about being flashy. Being in Mayur Vihar makes it easy to get around.
