Rachit Medicine

If you walk down Street No 10 in Madhu Vihar, you’ll find Rachit Medicine. It’s a simple spot, nothing that would catch your eye from a mile away, but it’s where we work every day. The street can get a bit muddy when it rains, and the light inside the shop is a bit dim in the far corners, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time just organizing the strips and bottles so we can find them quickly when someone asks for something specific. Madhu Vihar is a packed neighborhood, and we see the same faces every week. It’s nice to know who is coming in. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our day is spent talking to neighbors and checking the stock levels. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a little if you put too much weight on them. We try to keep the fans going because it gets stuffy behind the counter during the afternoon heat. Sometimes we run out of small change and have to ask the guy at the next shop to swap a note for us. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure people get what they need without too much fuss. We don’t promise anything grand, we just show up, open the shutters, and stay until the sun goes down. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
