Our place is House No 16A in Una Enclave, which is part of Mayur Vihar Phase 1. It is a residential area, so it feels very different from the commercial hubs. You have to go through the gate and tell the guard where you are going. The house is a typical one for this colony. We have converted the main rooms into our working area. It is comfortable because it feels like a home. We have a few desks set up, and there are always stacks of documents near the printers. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. Sometimes children are playing in the street outside in the evenings. We like being in Mayur Vihar because the metro is close by, making it easy for the staff to get here without too much trouble. Inside, the walls are painted a plain off-white, and we have a few plants on the windowsills that someone forgets to water occasionally. It is a simple operation. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small one near the bell. Most of the people who come here have been coming for years, so they know exactly which door to knock on. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be finished by the end of the week. It is a steady, predictable kind of place where we just focus on the day’s tasks.
