Oracle India Pvt Ltd is over in East Delhi, specifically at A 701 Gitanjali Apartments. This is on Vikas Marg Extension in Karkar Dooma, Delhi 110092. Being in an apartment complex makes the office feel a bit different than a standard commercial building. It’s a bit more personal, maybe. The 7th floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding area, which is always filled with the typical Delhi haze and a lot of movement. Vikas Marg is a huge road and it’s always packed with traffic. Getting to the office can be a real struggle in the mornings because of the jams near the junctions. Once you get inside Gitanjali Apartments, it’s a bit quieter. We use the A 701 space for our daily work. It has the layout of a large flat, so there’s a kitchen area and several rooms where we’ve put our desks and chairs. It’s not a polished corporate office. The paint might be peeling a bit in the corners and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s where we get things done. We know the security guards at the gate and some of the other people living in the building. It’s a strange mix of living and working in the same place. We just get our work done and try to avoid the worst of the Vikas Marg traffic on the way home.
