Indrakshi Consultant is located at N64-A in Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi. If you have ever been to Laxmi Nagar, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can get, but it is a great place to be if you want to be near the action. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and it is usually filled with the sound of the metro passing by not too far away. We have piles of folders everywhere because we handle a lot of consulting work for different people in the city. The desk I sit at has a bit of a wobble, but it has served me well for a long time. We do not have any big corporate policies or a HR department. It is just me and a couple of helpers who know how to get things done. We spend a lot of time talking to clients on the phone and trying to explain complicated rules in a way that makes sense. Sometimes we stay late into the evening because there is just too much to finish before the next day. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, so we usually just send someone down to the corner stall to get a round of chai. It is a busy, slightly messy life, but we like the people we work with. Laxmi Nagar is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it feels like home to us.
