Our office is up on the second floor of the Raj Complex in Shakarpur. If you know the M Block area, you probably walked past us a dozen times. It’s one of those buildings where everyone knows each other’s business. We spend most of our day surrounded by boxes of medicine and stacks of invoices. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs, especially when the delivery boys are coming and going with heavy crates. The phone rings a lot here. It’s usually someone checking if a specific tablet is in stock or asking when the next shipment from the factory is arriving. We have a small crew and we all just pitch in where we can. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise but we just ignore it and keep working. Dealing with medical supplies means we have to be careful with the dates and the storage, so there is always someone checking the labels. It gets pretty crowded in the afternoons when the local chemists stop by to pick up their orders. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. Being in Shakarpur means there is always noise from the street below, but you get used to it after a week. We’ve been at this for a bit now and it’s just the way we do things every day.
