Dollar India

Dollar India is located at Plot No 51 in the Banarasi Dass Building. We are on the Main Road near the Surya Guest House in Gandhi Nagar. If you know Gandhi Nagar, you know it is a hub for the garment trade, so it is always buzzing with traders and workers. Our building is an older one, and we are right there on the busy main road where the rickshaws are always honking. The shop is filled with our items, often stacked quite high because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. It can get a bit chaotic during the peak season when everyone is trying to get their orders filled. The guest house next door is a good landmark for people who aren't from this neighborhood. We have a couple of old fans that creak when they turn, but they do the job. The counter is where we spend most of our time, writing out receipts by hand and talking to customers. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We don't have any corporate policies or fancy uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and work hard until the sun goes down. There is always a lot of chatter in the shop, mostly about the market prices or the weather. It is a real, hardworking environment and we are glad to be part of the Gandhi Nagar community.
