Goonj

Goonj is based at 254, Dayanand Vihar, right on Vikas Marg. It’s an area that’s always moving. Our office is a place where things are constantly being moved around. We have boxes everywhere and the shelves are always full. It isn't the kind of office where everything is clean and tidy. It looks like people actually work here because they do. We spend a lot of time talking to people who drop by. Vikas Marg is a noisy place but inside we try to stay focused on what needs to get done. We started this because we saw a need for it in the neighborhood. It’s not about being a big company or having a fancy name. We just want to be useful. Most of the people who work here live close by so we all know each other pretty well. We share meals and sometimes we argue about how to organize the storage space. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. You might come in and find us sorting through piles of stuff or writing things down on scrap paper. We don't use a lot of high-tech systems. We just use what works for us. It’s a bit old-fashioned in some ways, but it gets the job done. We’ve been at Dayanand Vihar for years and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s home for the business and it's where we feel most comfortable every single day.
