Chhokers Advertising

Chhokers Advertising is located at S-549 in Shakarpur, up on the first floor in School Block-2. Getting up to our office involves climbing a set of narrow stairs that can be a bit tricky if you are carrying large signs or rolls of material. The space is usually cluttered with vinyl scraps, different kinds of tape, and half-finished banners spread across the floor. We have a large table where we do all the cutting and assembly, and it is rarely ever clean. Outside on the street, it is always noisy because of the schools and the general bustle of Shakarpur. We spend a lot of our time looking at computer screens or leaning over the table to make sure the letters are straight. It is not a glamorous job, and the office definitely looks like a place where real work happens rather than a showroom. We have old posters from past jobs stuck to the walls with bits of masking tape. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of vinyl and have to wait for the delivery guy to fight through the traffic. Most of our customers are from the neighborhood and just pop in to ask for a quick sign or some stickers. We do not have any big corporate goals; we just like making things that people can see from the street. It is a busy, cramped, and honest little shop.
