Our office for Apsom Technologies India Pvt Ltd is on the first floor of 55 Paharganj Industrial Area. Paharganj is a pretty old and tight-knit place, and the industrial area has that worn-in feeling. You have to climb a narrow set of stairs to get up to us. Once you’re inside, it’s full of different tech equipment and spare parts. It’s not exactly the most modern-looking place, with some old paint peeling in the corners and heaps of cables everywhere. We spend our days troubleshooting and looking at technical manuals. It’s a lot of specialized work, so it stays pretty quiet in the office unless someone is testing a new piece of hardware. The light from the windows isn’t great because of the nearby buildings, so we have those bright tube lights on all day. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee because we all stay pretty late most nights. Dealing with the traffic in Paharganj is probably the hardest part of the day. There’s always a rickshaw or a delivery cart blocking the way. We don’t really bother with much decoration. The walls are mostly covered in technical charts and some old photos. It’s a functional space for people who just want to get their work done without any fuss or extra noise.
