I run things from my place at Pocket 6/150-B in the DDA Flats in Mayur Vihar Phase 3. It is an MIG flat, so it is basically a home office setup. I have lived and worked here in Delhi for a long time. It isn’t like one of those big corporate firms you see in the city center. Usually, it is just me sitting at my desk handling whatever work comes in. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which helps me focus on what I am doing. People from around the colony know where I am if they need help with some technical drawings or paperwork. Since it is an MIG flat, I have to use the space carefully. I keep my files organized, though they do pile up when things get really busy. Mayur Vihar is a nice place to be, but the traffic on the main road can be a total mess during the rush hour. I usually prefer staying in and getting the work done rather than being out in that. You don’t need a flashy storefront to do good work. Most of the people I work for are local or they heard about me from someone else. Sometimes the neighbors will stop by for a quick chat while I am in the middle of a project. It is a simple way to live and work. I keep regular hours but if someone needs something urgently, I am usually around to help. Delhi life moves fast, but here it feels okay.
