Our place is Shop No. 226 in the Zonal Market area of Sector 10. If you know Bhilai, you know the market can be a bit of a maze sometimes. We’re up on the floor with several other small shops. It’s a compact space, mostly filled with rows of chairs and a big desk at the front. We keep a lot of charts on the walls because there isn't much room for anything else. The market noise filters in during the evenings when it gets crowded downstairs. We’ve been here long enough that the shopkeepers nearby all know us. It’s a busy environment but we like it that way. Usually, we arrive early to open the shutters and get the dust off the tables. The lighting is okay, though we added a few extra tubes last year. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights. Just the name on the door and some flyers we printed out. It’s a simple shop where we spend most of our waking hours. Sometimes the cooler needs more water, especially in May. People come in and out all day long, mostly locals from the sector. It feels like a small community inside this market. We don't have a lot of storage, so things are tucked into corners. It’s just a basic, honest workspace that serves the area well enough.
