Ardent Studies

If you walk around the New Civic Centre in Bhilai, you’ll eventually find us at Shop No 172 in Sector 6. Ardent Studies is a fairly simple setup. We have one main room where most of the work happens. It’s got that typical shop feel, not too big but we make it work with the furniture we have. The floors are easy to clean, which is good because people are always coming and going. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the main desk or standing by the board explaining things. The lighting is okay, though we added a few extra bulbs last year to help when it gets dark outside early. It’s a practical space. We don't have a lot of wall decorations, just some calendars and maybe a few old notes pinned up. Being in the New Civic Centre means there’s always something happening nearby, so it never feels lonely here. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall around the corner when there’s a break. The door sticks a little if you don't pull it right, but we’re used to it by now. We just focus on the lessons and making sure everyone has a place to sit. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls, just a local spot where people come to put in the hours and get their studies done. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
