Over at the Jamul Cement Works in Durg, things are always moving. Associated Cement Company Limited has been part of the Chhattisgarh industrial scene for ages, and our office at the P.O. Jamul location is right in the middle of it all. It’s a busy area, full of activity and the sound of machinery. We aren't trying to be something we're not; we just show up and get the work done. The weather can be tough, especially when the rains hit, but the trucks keep rolling. Being in Durg means we’re surrounded by folks who understand hard work. Most of us have lived in the area for years, so we know the shortcuts and the local shops where everyone grabs tea. The office itself is pretty basic, just desks and files and the sound of fans humming to keep the heat away. We deal with the cement side of things, making sure everything is logged and tracked. It’s not glamorous, and we don’t spend time on fancy talk or big presentations. If you come by, you’ll see people in boots and work clothes, just trying to keep everything on schedule. It’s a community here as much as it is a workplace. We’ve seen the town grow and change around the cement works, but our spot in Jamul stays pretty much the same, just a reliable place where work happens every single day.
