Cidade De Diu Restaurant

If you walk past the vegetable market in Diu, you'll find us tucked away. We are part of the Hotel Cidade De Diu, right behind where Hotel Samrat is. It’s a busy little corner of town, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their groceries. The restaurant is just a simple place where we serve meals to guests and locals who wander in. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end places you see in travel magazines. It's just tables, chairs, and whatever we have cooking in the kitchen that day. Being near the market means we get a lot of noise and energy from the street, which keeps things interesting. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded during lunch, especially on weekends. We have a small team here, mostly just people from the neighborhood who know how to cook the local stuff. We don't have fancy menus with photos or anything. Most of the time, we just tell you what's fresh. The building itself has been around for a bit, so it has its quirks, like a floor that isn't perfectly level or a door that squeaks sometimes. People seem to like that it feels real. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure people have a place to sit. It’s a decent spot to take a break from the heat and the crowds outside.
