Unmai Organic Farming (Opc) Private Limited

Down here in Konnampatti, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. Our place, Unmai Organic Farming, is at 1/232 near the Puliyamarathukottai post office. Nagampatty is a small village in the Vedasandur area of Dindigul, and that’s where we do all our work. We call it "Unmai" because we try to be honest about how we grow things. Organic farming isn't easy. You can't just spray stuff to make the bugs go away. You have to spend a lot of time pulling weeds by hand and making your own compost. It’s back-breaking work sometimes, and our clothes are usually stained with mud by midday. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just come by the village. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to grow food that doesn't have a bunch of chemicals in it. The weather in Vedasandur can be a bit unpredictable, so we are always watching the clouds. Sometimes we lose a crop to a pest we didn't see coming, but you just learn and try again next time. It’s a simple way of living, really. We live where we work, and our neighbors are all doing the same thing. It’s just a small family-run operation trying to do things the right way.
