Star Coconut

We are located at 3 Valgha Valamudan Street, right in that V G S Meeting Hall Mansion building. It’s very close to the bus stand in Angunagar, so the area is always full of people rushing to catch their rides. Star Coconut is messy business, to be honest. There is always hair and husk flying around when we are working. We get the loads in from the local groves and then the work begins. It’s a lot of lifting. You have to have strong arms to do this day after day. The floor of our space is usually covered in some bit of debris, no matter how much we sweep. We have a rhythm to it though. One person unloads, another sorts, and so on. It gets hot inside during the afternoon since we are so close to the other buildings, but we keep the doors open to let some air in. Sometimes the traffic near the bus stand makes it hard for our delivery vehicles to pull in. We end up waiting around a lot, just chatting or checking the stock. People think it’s simple but you have to know which ones are good just by the feel of them. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and everyone in the neighborhood knows the sound of our work. It’s just us, some coconuts, and the daily hustle of Angunagar. It’s not a quiet job, but it is what we do.
