About Oceanic Sub Continent Commodities – Agriculture & Farming in Dindigul
Down here on Society Street, inside the KTN Complex, things stay pretty busy with all the commodities we handle. We’ve got this spot at No8, and it’s basically where all the coordination happens. It’s not a shiny new building or anything, just a solid place where we can keep our records and talk to the people we buy from and sell to. Dealing with commodities means you have to pay attention to what's coming in. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just checking the bags and containers. Some mornings are quiet, but by noon, the whole street is full of noise and movement. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t really go in for big speeches or trying to look bigger than we are. We just handle the goods. It takes a lot of patience because sometimes the supply isn't what you expected. We’ve been in this complex for a bit now, and everyone around here knows us. We usually have the doors open to get a bit of a breeze in, though it doesn't always help. You get used to the rhythm of the work after a few months. Oceanic Sub Continent Commodities is just the name on the door, but for us, it’s where we spend our ten hours a day making sure things move. It’s practical work, and it keeps us occupied. There is always something that needs to be loaded or unloaded for the next shipment.
