Dealing with tiles and marbles in a place like Kodaikanal is interesting because the weather changes so much. Our yard is usually full of different slabs and samples for people to look at. It's a bit dusty, as you might expect with stone and tile work, but that is just the nature of the business. We spend our days moving heavy materials and talking to contractors or homeowners who are working on their houses. The hills here are beautiful, and we feel lucky to work in such a scenic spot, even if the work itself is quite tiring. We have been at this location for a good number of years. Sometimes the mist comes down so thick you can barely see the Tourist Office across the street, but we keep the lights on and keep working. We don't have a slick sales pitch. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them the price. If they like it, they buy it. It’s a very direct way of doing things. We handle our own unloading most of the time, which keeps us busy and tired by the end of the day. It's good work for those who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
