You can find Senthil Plastic Agency over on Thiruvalluvar Road at number 47. We are right in the Shanmugappuram area of Palani. It’s a busy street, especially during the festival seasons when the whole town gets crowded with pilgrims and tourists. We deal with various plastic products and supplies. The shop has been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the road change a lot over the years. We open the shutters early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s mostly just us handling the counter and moving the heavy bags of plastic goods around. It can be quite a workout sometimes. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that we keep running all day long. The locals know us as a reliable place to get what they need for their shops or homes. We don't use any fancy sales talk or try to push people into buying things they don't want. If we have it, we sell it; if we don't, we tell them where they might find it. It’s a very simple way of doing business. We keep our ledgers by hand and try to stay organized, even when the shop gets messy during a big delivery. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late in the evening and we have to stay back to help unload everything by hand. We have a small radio that we listen to for the news.
