Sahul Steel Corporation

We’ve been at this spot on Batlagundu Road for quite a while now. Most people know us by the big pile of steel near the Bypass Pallivasal in Begampu. It gets dusty out here with all the trucks going by, but that’s just how it is. My father started Sahul Steel Corporation with just a small shed and a few rods, and we just kept going from there. We spend most of our mornings unloading heavy sections and checking the stock against the manifests. It isn’t fancy work, but it fills the day. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy in the yard, but we just cover what we can and wait it out. People from around the neighborhood drop by looking for specific lengths or just to ask about prices for their home projects. We try to keep things organized, though the piles of iron have a way of growing on their own. You can usually find one of us sitting near the front desk or out back helping the loaders. There is always a lot of noise from the cutting saws and the metal hitting the floor, so you have to speak up when you walk in. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical yard where we get the job done. We’ve seen the road change over the years, but we stay right here at No. 811.
