Essar

We are based out of Palani in Tamil Nadu. The pin code is 624601. We call ourselves Essar. It’s a town known for the big hills and the temple, so there are always crowds of people coming and going throughout the year. Our setup is pretty modest compared to some others. We don’t have a massive building or a lot of staff running around. It’s just a few of us working together in a small room to keep things running. The weather here can be quite something in the summer, but we have a good fan and we keep the windows open when there’s a bit of a breeze. Being in this part of India feels right for our business. We don’t use a lot of big, complicated words to describe what we do here. We just turn up in the morning, do the jobs that need doing, and then head home at night. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished or corporate look. Our office has been in the same spot for a long while, and we’ve gotten to know all the local shopkeepers on the street. It’s nice to have a quick chat while we are getting coffee or tea in the morning. We don't have a big corporate plan or a fancy board of directors. We just take it day by day.
