Up here in Kodaikanal, things move at their own speed. Royalsaphire Resorts & Suites Private Limited is situated at Vilapatty Pirivuvilpatty P O, in the Dindigul district. It’s a beautiful area, but it can get very misty and cold, especially in the mornings. Our office is right there in the middle of the greenery. We spend our days looking out at the hills while we handle the resort bookings. The 624101 area is quiet compared to the towns below. We get a lot of people traveling up the winding roads to find us. The building is sturdy because it has to stand up to the heavy rains we get. Inside, we keep things warm with a heater when it’s needed. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages. We know everyone’s name and their families too. It’s a small community. We don't have a huge marketing department or anything like that. We just have a phone that rings quite a lot and a computer that sometimes loses internet when the clouds get too thick. We manage the suites and the resort grounds from this small office. Sometimes we have to go out and check on the rooms ourselves if the rain has been particularly bad. It is a lot of walking and a lot of talking to guests. We just try to keep the place running so people have a spot to stay when they visit Kodaikanal.
