Jolly Resort

We are over in the Vgp Compound in Pambarpuram. Jolly Resort is basically just a place for people to stay when they want to get away from the city noise for a bit. The air is different up here in the hills. We have a lot of plants and trees around the area and keeping them trimmed takes up most of our morning. It’s a bit of a climb to get here but the view is alright once you actually arrive at the gate. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the rooms after guests leave. It gets cold at night so we are always making sure there are enough heavy blankets in the cupboards. The staff lives nearby so we all know each other well. Sometimes it gets really quiet, which is nice, but when it’s a long weekend, the place is full of kids running around the grass. We don't have a fancy lobby with marble floors or anything like that. It’s more of a local setup. We cook mostly simple stuff in the kitchen for anyone who doesn't want to go back into town. If you need something, you usually just have to find one of us walking around the garden or near the office. We've had some leaky taps lately that we're trying to get through one by one. It's just a regular spot for people to sleep. We don't put up many ads because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough during the season. It is simple work but it keeps us moving.
