Harikarthi Engg Work

At 6, Sanmuga Nari Patti in Palani, you’ll find Harikarthi Engg Work. It’s mostly a workshop where we do a lot of metal and machine work. The place is usually loud with the sound of tools and grinders. We have grease on our hands most of the day. It’s not the cleanest job, but we like working with our hands. The workshop has been in this part of Palani for quite some time. We don't have an office staff or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. Usually, whoever isn't holding a tool at the moment picks it up. We do repairs and custom parts for people around here. Some of the machines we use are quite old, but they still work better than the new stuff sometimes. We don't have a fancy waiting room for customers. They usually just stand by the door and watch us work while we talk about what needs to be fixed. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't do any big advertising. People just see the sign or hear about us from their neighbors. If a job is too big, we say so, and if we can fix it, we get to it as soon as we can.
