Tamlu Organic Navfed Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers here in Tamlu. It’s mostly hills and green around Thaudu Ward where our office is set up at House Number 15. N. Tunglen helps out with the space. We grew up on these lands in Mokokchung and decided to pool our resources together. It isn't always easy working the soil in Nagaland, but we know what we are doing. The weather changes fast but the crops keep growing. We spend most of our days out in the fields or meeting up to discuss the harvest. It’s a collective effort, really. We didn't want to just sell things individually anymore, so we formed this company to make things a bit more organized. People around here know us as neighbors first. There's a lot of walking involved because the terrain is steep in places. We handle organic stuff because that’s how it has always been done in our families. We aren't looking for fancy offices or big city vibes. We just stay here in Tuli and keep things moving. Sometimes the roads are rough, especially during the rains, but we manage. It’s just how life is in this part of Nagaland. We keep our paperwork at the house and focus on the farming. We've got our own way of doing things, simple and direct. It’s hard work, but it feels right to be doing it together as a group from the village. This is where we belong.
