Akhoya Organic Farmers Producer Company

Akhoya Organic Farmers Producer Company is situated in Eatacol, which is right near Police Station 1 in the Sangtenla Ward. We have been working out of this area for a while now. It is a busy little part of town, but we manage to stay focused on our farming work despite the noise. We are not a big corporation with lots of levels of management. It is just a few of us who know the land and want to make sure the organic farming in this region stays strong. We spend most of our time out in the fields or meeting with other local farmers to see how things are going. The address near the police station is where we handle the paperwork, but that is the least favorite part of the job for most of us. We would much rather be outside working with the plants. We don't use any special marketing talk because we don't think it is needed for what we do. Our work speaks for itself if you look at the quality of the crops. It is tough work and sometimes we get pretty tired at the end of the day, but it feels good to be doing something that matters for the local community. We are just local people trying to make a go of it. We take things one day at a time.
