Out here in Deopur, Dhule, we have our college set up in the Vidyanagari area. It is specifically for women who want to get into computer applications. The building is functional and sits in a part of town that is mostly quiet, which helps with focusing on the lab work. Speaking of labs, that’s where most of the students spend their time, staring at monitors and trying to figure out their coding assignments. We have a good number of computers, though they aren't the newest models every year. The staff works out of a small office on the main floor where there is always a lot of filing and student records to sort through. Dhule can get quite hot, so the afternoons are usually slow unless there is a seminar going on. We don't have a huge marketing budget or a shiny website, just a group of people making sure the classes happen on time. Students come from different parts of the district, some staying in hostels nearby. You’ll often see them walking in groups towards the main road after the last lecture ends. It’s a place where women come to learn a skill and get a degree. We don't talk much about visions or missions; we just make sure the syllabus is covered and the exams are conducted fairly every semester.
