Sambhal Krishivikas Producer Company Limited is based out of Tower Colony in Chhabra. Rather than being some big corporation, we are just a bunch of neighbors and farmers who decided to pool our resources together. Life in Chhabra usually revolves around the farming cycle, so we spend most of our time looking at the sky and hoping for good rain. Our office is a simple spot in the colony where we meet up to discuss what we need for the next planting season. It isn't always organized perfectly, and sometimes we spend more time drinking tea and catching up on village news than actually doing paperwork. We focus on things like getting fertilizers or figuring out how to store our grain so it doesn't spoil. The "Krishivikas" part of our name sounds a bit formal, but really, we just want to see our local farms doing okay. Most of us have been working these lands for years, and we know that things are changing. We try to help each other out with new tools or just sharing what we know about the markets. It’s hard work, and the sun in this part of the country can be brutal, but we are used to it. We don't have fancy brochures or a website that looks like a bank's. We just have our names and our reputation here in the tehsil.
