We are set up in Maloni Khurd, which is a quiet village near Dholpur. It’s mostly farms around here. We decided to get into the frozen food side of things because it seemed like a good way to handle the local produce. It gets very hot in Dholpur, so keeping things cold is the main job. We have our small unit here. It’s not a big corporate factory. We just handle the packing and the freezing ourselves. Some of us live right here in the village. You wake up, walk to the unit, and start the machines. It’s a bit of a process to get the temperature right. We spend a lot of time checking the freezers. If the electricity acts up, we have to move fast. It’s honest work. Most of the people working here are from the nearby houses. We know each other's families. It’s different from working in a big city. We take the stuff from the fields and get it ready for the freezer. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy front desk or anything like that. Just the workspace and the storage. It’s been a learning curve for all of us here in Maloni Khurd. We just want to make sure the food stays good until it reaches wherever it’s going. That is really the whole story of our little place here. We keep trying to improve how we pack things so nothing goes to waste at the end of the day.
