Tileibani Agro Producer Company Limited is based over at Plot No. 296 in Kurod. Dharanidhara Pradhan looks after most of the day-to-day stuff there. We’re in Word No. 07, which is a place most people around Tainsar know well. It’s a collective of farmers who decided that working as one group was better than struggling alone. We don't have any polished speeches. We just know agriculture. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s too much rain or not enough. Our office in Tileibani is a practical place. We keep the records there and meet to discuss who is planting what. It’s not always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we manage. We’re just local people trying to make a living from the earth. Sometimes we share seeds or help with a neighbor's harvest if they’re short-handed. It’s a community thing more than a big business. We don't spend money on advertising because everyone in the area already knows where we are. We just focus on getting the produce ready for market. Most evenings you'll find a couple of us sitting around the office talking about the price of fertilizer or the state of the roads. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. We take pride in the stuff we grow, even if we don't say it in a fancy way.
