Biswarupa La Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Plot No. 5760 in Ward No. 6. We are set up at Jambeswar Biswal’s place in Dhenkanal Sadar. It’s a local operation through and through. A lot of us who started this are from the surrounding farms. We wanted a way to manage our work together, so we formed this company. It isn't a polished corporate office. Most days, you’ll find some of us sitting on the porch at Jambeswar’s house talking about the market or the price of seeds. Dhenkanal Sadar is our home and we know the land here. We keep our paperwork in a few files and try to stay organized, though it can get messy during the harvest season when there is so much to do. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on each other to get the work done. The address in Ward No. 6 is easy to find if you are from around here. We focus on the farmers because that is what we are. Every day brings a new set of problems to fix, like a broken tractor or a late delivery. We just take it as it comes. We are just a group of people trying to make the farmer producer model work for our community without any big city nonsense. It’s about sticking together and making sure we all have what we need for the next season to be a success.
