Operating out of the KSSIDC Industrial Estate means we are surrounded by the sounds of industry all day long. You can hear hammers, saws, and the hum of machinery from every direction. It’s a gritty place to work, but it suits us just fine. Steel is heavy and hard to move, so our floor is full of scratches and the walls are a bit scuffed up from shifting material around. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs; we have a metal desk and some stools where we sit when we need to check the measurements. The air usually has that metallic smell that you only find in places like this. We work with a lot of local builders and fabricators who need specific lengths or types of steel for their own projects. Dealing with raw metal is honest work, even if it leaves you tired and sore at the end of the shift. The estate can get pretty dusty when the trucks are moving through, so we’re always having to clean off the equipment. We don't put on any acts here. If someone comes in, they see us exactly as we are—covered in work clothes and busy with the next load. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it in this same spot for quite some time now without much changing in the way we handle the steel. We just keep the inventory ready and the machines running.
