Our spot is at number 57, Shree Basava Niwas, over in Rajnagar South in Hubli. It’s a decent area, mostly quiet compared to the main market, but we still get plenty of visitors. Running Hospet Steels Limited from a house like this means we are part of the neighborhood. You won't find any big flashing lights or corporate logos on the roof. Just a simple nameplate and the sound of people working inside. Hubli is a busy city, and the steel business moves fast here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the back checking the inventory. The walls of Basava Niwas have seen a lot of long nights when we were trying to finish up the monthly accounts. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the electricity goes out just when you need to print something, but that is just part of the deal. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the guys who do the heavy lifting. There is no hierarchy here; we all just do what needs doing to get the steel out. The neighbors know us well, and we try to keep the noise down when the big loads arrive. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We don't go in for fancy talk or trying to impress anyone with big promises. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and see what the day brings us.
