M Toufiqs Tiles

Our shop is over at 12 Subash Road in Hosayellapur. If you are looking for tiles, you’ll find us easily because there are always stacks of them sitting near the entrance. It’s a dusty job, and there’s no way around it. By midday, everything in the shop has a thin layer of white dust on it. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned showroom with spotlights. We have a few overhead lights and the natural light that comes in through the open front. We spend a lot of time moving heavy crates around, so everyone here has a bit of muscle. Subash Road is a busy place, and we get all sorts of people walking in, from homeowners to contractors who are in a hurry. We don't give long sales pitches. We just show the patterns we have and tell people how much is in stock. Sometimes the tiles break during unloading, which is always a headache, but that’s just how it goes. We’ve been in Hosayellapur for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. We usually share a tea in the afternoon when things settle down. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady work. We don't have a big corporate mission. We just try to make sure people get what they paid for without too much fuss or delay. It is a simple business run by people who know tiles inside and out.
