Thales Security Solutions & Services Portugal Sa has a bit of an unusual location for a tech security firm, being based in V.P.O Sungal in the Palampur area of Himachal Pradesh. It is a long way from Portugal, that is for sure. We are located in the Kangra district, where the air is much cooler and the view is mostly of the mountains rather than other buildings. We don't have a big corporate lobby; it is more like a sturdy building that can handle the local climate. Getting equipment up here to Palampur can be a bit of a challenge sometimes because of the winding roads, but we have our ways of managing the logistics. It is a different way of working, focusing on high-level security while being surrounded by nature. We don't have many walk-in visitors because of where we are, so we mostly communicate with the outside world through the internet. It is a practical, quiet operation that suits the Kangra valley vibe perfectly.
