Training In Bihar Flying Club

It might seem a bit unusual to find a place like Training In Bihar Flying Club located at Sudamdih Thana, but that’s where we are. We are specifically at Quarter Number 16 in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The zip code is 828126. It’s a residential area, so it’s much quieter than the center of the city. We don't have a giant hangar right here at the quarter, of course. This is more of the place where the administrative stuff and some of the ground training talk happens. Living and working in a Thana area means it's very safe and everyone knows each other. You see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every day. Inside the quarter, we’ve set up some tables and chairs and we have books and maps spread out all over the place. It feels more like a study group than a big school. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather and wind speeds because that's what matters for flying. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We aren't wearing fancy uniforms all the time; usually, it’s just casual clothes while we go over the day's lessons. Dhanbad isn't exactly a hub for aviation, but we make it work with what we have here. It’s a small operation, run by people who actually care about what they are doing. We just take things one day at a time at Quarter 16.
