Rashmi Study Centre

Rashmi Study Centre sits right on the Main Road in Dhanbad, specifically at number 1, Keshari Mention. It’s a very busy part of town, so there is always a lot of movement and noise right outside our door. Being on the main road means it’s easy for students to hop off a bus or a rickshaw and come straight to class. The building itself is one of those older commercial spots, and we’re located right opposite the main flow of traffic. Inside, we’ve tried to create a space that feels a bit more organized than the chaotic street outside. We have basic wooden tables and chairs, and the walls are mostly covered with maps or charts that we’ve put up over the years. It’s not a large center, but we manage to fit a good number of students in for each shift. We usually spend the first part of the afternoon helping the younger kids with their primary subjects, and then the older students come in later for more specific help with their boards. The lights flicker a bit when the power gets shaky, which happens sometimes in this part of Dhanbad, but we keep some emergency lamps ready just in case. It’s just a simple, honest place where we focus on the books. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the subjects well and want to help the kids from the area get through their exams without too much stress.
