Acumen Classes

Acumen Classes is located in Sunaina Mansion over in the Katrasgarh area of Dhanbad. We’re situated right opposite the Rani Sati Mandir, so we often hear the temple bells ringing during our evening sessions. It’s a familiar sound that everyone here has grown used to. The mansion is an older building with high ceilings and thick walls, which helps keep the rooms a bit cooler during the hot Dhanbad summers. We don't have any air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that spin as fast as they can. Our setup is quite basic, with some long benches and a large blackboard that we use for almost everything. Students come to us from all around Katrasgarh, usually walking or coming on their bicycles after their school hours are over. We spend a lot of time talking through the lessons, making sure everyone gets a chance to ask about things they didn't understand in school. It’s a very local feel here; we know most of the parents and see them at the market or the temple. Running a coaching center in a place like this is mostly about being consistent and showing up every day. We don’t use any fancy teaching methods, just the old-fashioned way of reading, writing, and practicing until the work is done. It’s a quiet, steady life centered around the textbooks and the upcoming exam schedules that seem to dominate the kids' lives in this part of Jharkhand.
