Rajeev Gandhi Computer Saksharta Mission is right here at Plot B-5 in the Central Market of Sector 12 A. People in Bokaro Steel City know this area gets pretty busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping or just walking around. We’ve been set up in this spot for a while now, right in the heart of Sector 12 A. It’s not a fancy office or anything, just a place where we get our work done and help out the students who come through the door. The market can be noisy with the traffic and people chatting, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and people trying to figure out their lessons. We started this because there was a need for it in this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out or things get a bit dusty from the road, but that’s just how it is living and working in Bokaro. We see a lot of different faces every day, some kids, some older folks wanting to learn something new. It’s a simple setup with desks and old chairs, nothing to brag about really. We mostly just keep our heads down and do what we can to keep the computers running. If you’re walking through Central Market, you probably pass us all the time. It feels good to be part of the local scene here in the city, even if it’s just one small room in a big market.
