Kitab Sphere

We've been running Kitab Sphere here in Dhanbad for some time now. Our shop is right across from the Shyam Mandir in the Gota Patti area of Jharia. It is a bit of a crowded spot, especially on festival days when the temple gets busy, but we like being in the middle of it all. Mostly, we just spend our days surrounded by stacks of books and papers. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy because people are always pulling things out to look at them. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a constant battle with the dust from the road outside. People from all over Jharia come in looking for specific textbooks or just something new to read during their breaks. We aren't a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a simple place where you can find what you need without much fuss. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves, from unpacking the new arrivals to helping students find the right guides for their exams. There is a lot of tea drinking involved throughout the day, especially when neighbors drop by just to chat for a bit. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of old fans going that make a bit of noise. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to keep the doors open and make sure folks in Dhanbad have a place to get their books and papers.
