Pragyan Classes

If you head down to Bank More in Dhanbad, you’ll find us tucked away in the Matkuria area. Pragyan Classes isn't hard to find if you know the local streets, but the traffic around here can be a real headache some days. We’ve been running this little setup for a while now, mostly because we saw that kids in this part of town needed a quiet place to sit and actually focus on their lessons. The room we use isn't very big, and when we have a full group, it gets a bit cramped, but we make it work with what we have. There are rows of simple benches and a clock on the wall that ticks a bit too loudly when everyone is quiet during a test. Outside, you can hear the rickshaws honking and people shouting in the market, but that’s just life in Dhanbad. We spend a lot of time going over old question papers and helping the younger ones with their handwriting or basic sums. It’s not fancy, and we don’t have any high-tech gadgets, just pens, paper, and a lot of patience. Most of the kids walk here from nearby houses in Matkuria, so we see the same faces every day. It feels like a small community of its own inside these four walls. We just try to keep things steady and make sure the students understand what they’re reading before they head home for dinner and chores.
