Down in B.S. City, specifically here in Bokaro, things move at a slightly different pace than the big metros. We are located in the 827012 zip code area, and it’s a very industrial kind of setting. Keane India has been a part of this landscape for a while. The surroundings are dominated by the steel plant atmosphere, which you can almost feel in the air. Our office is a simple one. We don't have those fancy open-plan designs; it’s more about functional rooms and desks that have been here for years. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless there’s a hold-up at the main gates. We spend the day handling data and checking over reports. It’s quiet work for the most most part. We have a small garden area outside that we try to keep green, though the dust makes it a bit of a challenge. Lunch is usually a group affair where we talk about local news or what’s happening in the city. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a glitzy facade. We just focus on the tasks we’ve been given and try to be as accurate as possible. It’s a straightforward environment. The furniture is a bit dated, and the floors have some scuffs, but it feels like a workplace where real effort happens every single day. We’re just a bunch of local people doing our jobs and getting by.
